While I was there, among the not so pleasant and not so appropriate for a blog, he did, however, discover something else.
(Now, before you think what you're thinking, no, I was not surprised. Yes, I did go to him for that specifically, as well as for an annual exam. So, no this was not a shock.)So there you have it, world. Welcome the THIRD baby Moore to our family, expected to arrive sometime at the end of what is promising to be a very LONG, HOT summer. (due end of August)
I haven't told many people (in fact, my parents are reading about it here on my blog for the first time too, so don't be offended...) because I'm only 10 weeks. I would normally not even tell this early. But it's way too hard to hide and I'm tired of people thinking I'm just gaining weight. In fact, when I was only 6 weeks, my good friend came up to me and asked, "Seriously, Cheri, are you just eating a lot?!" Of course, I had to tell her, but really! I shouldn't have to tell at 6 weeks. I took this picture shortly thereafter to show that she had every reason to ask and that I just can't hide it anymore.
That was at about 7 weeks. And it hasn't improved. I saw on my friend's blog a picture of her at 20 weeks and, no joke, she was not even as big as I am in this picture. I guess that's the difference between first and third baby. Funny thing is, according to the Dr's office, I haven't gained a single pound, yet I look like I'm having twins! (No, we're NOT having twins) I guess the combination of no sugar and throwing up a few times a day does that, huh? I haven't been feeling too good for the last 5 weeks. For about 3 or 4 of them, I was throwing up a few times a day. But now we're down to a few times a week, usually a couple times in only a couple days per week. Not like you want to know that. I'm exhausted, starving, dizzy, and get frequent headaches. But I'm sleeping well (thanks to my MIL's fantastic body pillow she lent me) and eating relatively well (though I was eating only carbs for about a week before that just wasn't doing it for me).
Yes, this was planned and yes I am excited. Actually, I'm really excited for this baby. The last 8 weeks have D-R-A-G-G-E-D by so slowly and I've just been dying to tell people, but it seemed like today would never come. But it has and we're finally coming to the end of the first trimester (in a few weeks) and starting the much more fun parts.
I love pregnancy for so many reasons, but mainly because it is a rare opportunity to participate in creation. And I only get to do it a handful of times in my life (maybe 2 handfuls) so I try to enjoy it. Well, not the first part, but the rest. I also LOVE labor and delivery. It is exciting and, as my mom would say, exhiliarating. I look forward to it for the whole 9 months. And I love my babies. I am so grateful for these 2 beautiful girls who are healthy and happy (besides Taryn right now) and I'm so grateful for this little baby's heart beating away and sounding like music to me.
So there you have it.

HOLY FREAK! Congratulations!
I'm not surprised you're already showing. :) Fun.
So happy for you! Happy Pregnancy!!
My sentiments exactly! Congrats! I lived in dresses for the summer while I was pregnant with Anna. But Arizona??! I'm very excited for you. Sorry about the earache stuff. Ug.
Oh man, you put it like that I sound like a jerk. :) I could just tell and I had to make a joke. You DIDN'T look like you were eating too much, then your face would have been bigger, too! I am happy you are telling people now. Your tummy is cute! Babies are fun. :)
Yeah!! So exciting!! Gotta love showing earlier and earlier with each baby!
Yeah!!!! and sad to hear you are feeling so crummy. not fun.
Congratulations! I feel the same way with baby number 3! I definitely feel like I am showing faster this time too. I need to get on a walking routine or something. I am almost 13 weeks, but I have gained about 4 pounds. I blame it on the holidays!
Cool, Cheri!! (And I didn't tell a soul these past few days)You look great, and a bigger tummy early on makes the whole thing more real, so it's a good thing in that sense.
And about the ear infection: Try mashing a garlic, put it in the microwave for only a few seconds to release the oils and make it warm, saturate a q-tip head in it, then rub the inside of the ear canal with it. Garlic has a lot of healing powers. Janae read about this treatment somewhere and said it helped her, and I tried it on Elysse and it seemed to help too.
Cheri!!!!!!!!! I am dying to call you right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll restrain until at least 7 :30, but HOLY COW, you have no idea how much we have SCREAMED for you!!!!!!
Kai, Sierra and I were all reading together so we all got the news at the same time. Exciting!
I must admit that when I read Janelle's comment, I had to double check to make sure she wasn't on baby number 31. That would almost make your childhood dream of 32 (which is more than six handfuls).
Congratulations! That is so exciting (especially since you're starting to feel better). What do the girls think?
Forgive me for laughing; ha, ha! You see when I am 10 weeks pregnant my butt is already so big it scares my children! I think they are afraid of getting eaten. YOU LOOK GREAT! And I'm sorry that I'm such a crappy friend that I didn't even notice to ask.
When I get pregnant again I am going to read this entry over and over so that I can pretend I agree with all the good stuff you said about pregnancy and labor :)
2 hand fulls? You plannin on a baseball team? If anyone could be successful at accomplishing that admirable task it is you!
Go Coach Cheri!
Much Love,
Congratulations! We are so excited for you guys. Yeah for babies! Sorry you have to go through the long hot summer in Arizona though.
Fun! Congratulations!
Congrats!! So exciting!
YEAH!! You should have told me you didn't feel well, I could've made you dinner or something (not that you would've actually wanted to eat it..it doesn't taste that great going down, I'd hate to imagine how it would taste coming up..ewwww!! hehe). We still need to get together to do your eyebrows, maybe Saturday? I'll e-mail you.
Yay Cheri!!!! I haven't left any comments until now, but I do keep up on your blog and love to hear how you are doing! I'm so excited for you - babies are great!
Congratulations Cheri!!
Congrats you guys! I am so excited for you - baby number 3! Only today at choir practice did I think, "I wonder if she's prego." I'm sorry you've been feeling crappy! Hope your morning sickness keeps getting less frequent. :)
CONGRATULATIONS! How exciting! I'm glad I got caught up on your blog! Boy did I miss a lot! Or will it be "Girl I missed a lot!" We are thrilled for you.
And I second the garlic. One of my visiting teachees took care of all of her families ear aches with garlic drops. Apparently the nonsmelly kind works just as well as the smelly. If you like I can get more info from her about how she did it. I've been meaning to anyway. Of course, I hope the ear ache is gone by now!
