A couple weeks ago, I was putting Avery's carseat in the car when it caught my cell phone and broke off the antenna. So I went to Walmart and bought a new GoPhone for $30. Braden liked it better than the GoPhone I bought him last Christmas so we switched. Last night, as I was about to walk out the door to go to the temple, Taryn decided to throw my "new" GoPhone into the fish's bowl. Now it doesn't work. Any suggestions before I go out and buy ANOTHER GoPhone?

see if you are eligible for an upgrade with your cell phone company...sometimes you can get a free or very cheap phone. But that is if you still have a service. Good luck!
Nate has been fixing other people's phones that has gone swimming… literally, in the pool for a good 10-15 minutes. Here's a trick he has tried… take the whole thing apart, as much as you possibly can. Then put it in a jar filled with rice. Sounds weird and crazy. But rice absorbs water. Let it sit in jar for a day or so. Your phone probably still works. Just needs to dry out, which can take several days.
love that rice trick. Wish I had known that. My phone when swimming too and I took it all part and tried to let it dry but still no luck for me (didn't try the rice thing). We could have got a new free phone though from our ATT (we didn't because Chris really wanted an iphone but we got it for a discount) Check with ATT.
Other advice: hide your phone from the kids (ha ha like that works)
try this one ...Put the phone in a bowl of rice ... the rice should soak up the water ...
I heard kitty litter was the best water absorber.
