Computer Woes

So, our computer crashed. We're trying to recover anything from our hard drive, but so far haven't been able to. We just got a new hard drive and I'm working on getting it up and running. It's amazing how debilitated I felt not having a computer, all my files, my favorites, my links, my recipes, my pictures, my music...etc... I still feel a little naked without all that, but we're trying to rebuild.

That's where you come in. Could you email me with your email address, home address (for reference sake), phone numbers, etc. or anything else we had for you? I want to build my contact list in Outlook again and am having a hard time sending emails since everything is gone.

If you don't have my email address, its just my hubby's name and my name with "and" between at gmail. I guess a real stalkerish person could figure that out...

I would be blogging more, but wait, I lost all my pictures from the last 3 months too. Praying for that. I do have all the pictures still since Avery's birth, but I also haven't installed all the drivers to get those off my camera. As we slowly rebuild and figure this all out, I'll post again.

That's horrible. I was without a computer for three days while we got the DVD drive fixed. But before we took it in, we got an external hard drive to back up all of our files, pics, music, and everything so we don't lose it - just in case. I feel safer knowing that our computers are backed up somewhere else. We have a Mac and they are really reliable (no worries about viruses or anything like that), but you never know. I was mostly worried about the 15,000+ photos and our music and video files.

Too bad we don't live closer b/c Nate's good at data recovery and stuff like this.

I'm sorry to hear your computer is down. You may be interested in http://delicious.com/ I'm thinking about opening an account because it would be great backup for my many, many, many bookmarked web pages. It allows you to bookmark pages on the web, tag them, and then access them from any computer with internet access. I haven't read all of the privacy policies, etc. so I can't speak for that. But I know you can decide to keep your account private.

Cheri! I don't know how it happended, but your "new" blog completely passed me by. I must have forgotten months ago to add it to my reader and so I've not caught up in months. Tragic!!!!

You have a new baby girl?!? That is so great!!! Congratulations! That last pregnancy picture of you is so cute--I wish I could look so fabulous through a pregnancy!!!

I would LOVE your caramel apple recipe! I'm in charge of doing some kind of cooking project with some ladies and kids in the ward in a couple weeks and had no idea what to do yet--this might be perfect!

I'm going to have a lot of catching up to do. Congrats again though! Hope you guys are doing great!
