The other day, I was nursing Avery when I heard Taryn getting into something downstairs. I asked Keara to see what she was doing and the report came back "She's eating Rice Krispies." Images of Rice Krispies poured all over filled my mind and I figured, oh well, I'll clean it up later.
When I came downstairs, I found this...
I went about my business, getting ready to walk out the door. As I got the girls ready, I came around the couch into the family room and found this...
Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend vacuuming that much Rice Krispies off your carpet. I clogged the vacuum 3 times as it tried to suck up all that cereal.
Then, a couple days ago, the girls were taking a bath and I got a phone call. I was sitting about 10 feet from them, but in my room, rather than in the bathroom. I heard Keara dumping water, but thought (really HOPED) that she was doing it in the tub.
Nope. When I came in, there was literally a half inch of water covering the ENTIRE bathroom floor, even behind the toilet. It thoroughly soaked 2 new rolls of toilet paper and took 6 towels to mop it up, even ringing out the towels between wipes.
As I was on my hands and knees mopping up behind the toilet, Taryn came over and PEED right in the standing water. Thank you Taryn.
I guess its moments like these that take a sense of humor. Thank goodness I was talking to Susan who has one and helped me keep perspective!

OH dear. Pee. I love it. Now I feel really bad asking you to take the girls tomorrow for the afternoon....
Oh my goodness....I'm sorry, but I laughed so hard at the pee incident. Those girls...
Oh, the joys of mommyhood. Ü
I feel your pain! Oh the tears of laughter that come from these fun times...
I forgot to tell you this on Friday: I was vacuuming up a whole box of Rice Krispies, too, thinking, this looks strangely familiar, and then had a little voice remind me that the vacuum might get clogged. So thanks for the tips, and I soon got out my broom.
...I did run for my camera to send you the pic b/c of the humor in parallel stories, but alas, it was out of batteries...and people wonder why I NEED a wall phone and can't keep cordless phones charged?
