I Hate Wait...

Name the movie...

Anyway, we're still here. And we're still waiting. Apparently the dogs didn't know much. I'm "due" in 2 days and while I don't feel antsy or frustrated at being pregnant, I am still so looking forward to this baby arriving! Every day is a struggle to get thru because I would LOVE to go into labor and get the next stage rolling. But, she apparently still needs the comfort of the womb, so in she stays.

I went to this website that "predicts" your birth experience and here's what it said :

The day you deliver, outside will be cloudy. Your baby will arrive in the late night. After a labor lasting approximately 24 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 5 pounds, 8 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have light green eyes and a lot of black hair.

TWENTY-FOUR HOURS OF LABOR!?! That would be very different from my last 2. I hope not! However, this last month has been SO different than the other girls. I have never "pre-labored" so much. For the last 3 weeks or so, almost every day has had hours of "this could turn into labor" moments because the contractions have become so much more intense, frequent, and uncomfortable, I am nauseated often, feel really crampy, have a lot of back pain, and many other feelings that I had DURING labor of the other two. And yet, it comes to nothing and the next morning, I'm still pregnant. So I guess 24 hours could be possible...

I also think the weight could be a bit off...5 lbs 8 oz? At 40 weeks? If she were to come out that small, I'd be glad she stayed in! I couldn't imagine...

I'm content enough to keep waiting, though I don't know if I'll feel so content if we make it to September.

A big CONGRATULATIONS! to my sister Kerri on the safe and healthy arrival of her baby girl, Alana Tess, on Friday August 21st! I'm SO glad everything went well!!

Tonight, Braden has his final for his class so he told me I'm not allowed to have the baby today! I guess we'll have no news to share in the next 24 hours, then :) I hope he does well! And it will be nice to have all responsibilities behind us, at least for the next 6 days until his next class starts.

The Princess Bride.

I'm curious what the website was.

Good luck over these next few days... or more... :P

Jody took my obvious answer, but apparently it's a popular line in lots of movies since IMDB quickly named 20 others that said the same thing at some point in their script...who knew!

Star-ology or moon-tide-philosophy...forget the website!!! That's not your body, you know that! And last time it predicted twin lizards, so what does it have going for it after all?

Thanks for the shout out on your blog..it's GOOD to be home...I had NEVER experienced such lack of sleep in the hopsital as I did this time! Mom sure is excited to come out! We're doing our best to keep her well rested for you! Of course, one of the last dinners we ate with the kids consisted all of sugar, chocolate, candy, cookies---the only things we had in our hospital room when mom and dad brought them to visit...we sent mom home for a nap after dealing with the kids' repercussions of the next day's sugar highs!
