I love to sew. I love to create. I love having an idea and watching it come to fruition. I do not, however, like having an idea, trying to make it, and having it FAIL. Which is why I've decided I need to start using patterns to make clothes so I can learn some basic things and then I can go back to doing it out of my head.
Right now, I need to know 2 things:
1. How to correctly measure for making pants (capris, really) because I need more pants that will fit during these last 3 weeks and I don't want any with a tight waist or zipper or button because that just hurts. And I don't want to buy them and I don't want to wear pajama pants, and I can't wear pants anyway cause that's too hot.
2. How to correctly measure to make sleeves for little girl dresses. I know I can figure it out, but I want to know the secrets of making it simple.

I'm not much of a sew-er, but what kind of sleeves for little girls? Teacup sleeves are really easy. I could show you how to do them if you'd like (I show better than I tell)
