I'm looking for great ideas for a family game, or other family gift. Do you have a favorite game that works for a family? One that is good for teenagers and parents? One that can easily be tossed on the table and played whenever you have a moment (a LONG game may not be best)? Or do you know of something else that is a MUST HAVE for a family with teenagers? Something no family should be without?
Any ideas?

depending on how old the teenagers are Phase 10 and rummikub. Also scattergories and dominos.
A fun game for all ages is apples to apples.
btw, we were just talking on the phone about this, and the game that came to mind that some people like is Curses.
We really like Rage, Milles Bourne, along with the games that have been mentioned already. A game we used to play growing up is called Dirty Marbles, but that one may be a little more hard to find.
I love bananagrams, catch phrase, any ole card game, any sort of mystery or puzzle solving game, oh puzzles for that matter... =)
Speed scrabble. Some people call it "take 2." I love it. Good for teenagers and parents. You don't need the scrabble board, just the pieces. Easy to break out and play for just a few minutes or for a couple hours.
Speaking of Speed Scrabble - there's an online version - to get an idea of how it works - or get some practice :)
